Abstract

The matter we regarded was to set up post-emergency transition backgrounds able to trigger virtuous reconstruction processes. We suggest an innovation in the use of the stone and, in particular, of the debris. A major critical point of the reconstruction process are the 4,5 million tons of debris that are both a physical obstacle and a significant source of social and environmental pollution. We propose a reversible construction process, conceiving a constructive system where the external infill walls are made of gabions filled of debris. For the internal walls finishing, test results are presented, performed on recycled aggregates as basic material for producing plaster mortars. For developing smart technical solutions a part of the research is focused on the definition of components for the realization of innovative, flexible, multi-stratified and zero outflow building shells.
