Re-use of the architectural heritage for the redevelopment of the contemporary city.This contribution will focus on the thematic regarding the conversions of buildings in the historic city, for the above reason it presents the intervention of the architectural and urban redevelopment of Palazzo De Mayo in Chieti. The intervention constitutes a tangible testimony to the cultural operation carried out on the historic building, designed in an interactive relationship with the city. The dimensions and the articulated body valences, highlighted the opportunity to associate, to architectural open spaces, intellectual inputs useful for a modern revival of the important 18th-century structure, located in the heart of the historic centre.
