The article focuses on the theoretical analysis of neurocriminology, a science that examines the biological and neurological variables related to violence and, consequently, crime. ”Are they born or do they become criminals?” is the question of some scholars of the Positive School as Cesare Lombroso, Ferri, Garofalo who on the other hand have managed to give some answers and why not, new paradigms. In the last ten years, in the scientific field, a new discipline has appeared with the aim, too, to seek answers regarding the initial question: neurocriminology.

Abstract

The article focuses on the theoretical analysis of neurocriminology, a science that examines the biological and neurological variables related to violence and, consequently, crime. ”Are they born or do they become criminals?” is the question of some scholars of the Positive School as Cesare Lombroso, Ferri, Garofalo who on the other hand have managed to give some answers and why not, new paradigms. In the last ten years, in the scientific field, a new discipline has appeared with the aim, too, to seek answers regarding the initial question: neurocriminology.
