This article examines the novel by Silvia Avallone, Acciaio (Milano, Rizzoli, 2010), a true literary event and winner of the "Premio Strega". The novel has been translated into many countries. The paper analyzes in detail the language of the novel in its appearance lexical, syntactic and semantic in order to highlight the modernity of the language of the writer.
