The reception of Milutin Bojić in English speaking countrie. This paper provides an overview of the reception of Serbian literature in English speaking countries from the time of the Balkan wars and accords particular attention to the critical reception of the work of Milutin Bojić. Unfortunately Serbian culture has attracted scarce attention on the part of Anglo-Saxon literary scholars. Therefore it is not surprising that the monography Serbian Poetry and Milutin Bojić, written by Mihailo Dordević, did not come out until 1977. It is significant that this study contains also 25 translations of Bojić’s poems. This paper also analyzes the six translations of Bojić’s most important poem, “Plava grobnica” (“Blue Grave”), which has appeared both in print format and online. The six translations of this poem are included in the Appendix.
