"Thinking als forgetting". This seems to be one of the paradoxes that Heidegger's thought gives us, at least starting from the mid-1940s, when, after the cycle of "onthistorical" treatises (1936-1944) ended, reflection on history itself seems to recede into the background, to benefit of an increasingly "eschatological" "short-circuit" between the most remote beginning of thought, that is the presocratic (western-eastern) dawn, and its ultimate fulfillment in the present we inhabit, that is the technisches Zeitalter, anticipated and "established" by Hölderlin.
Being, world, thinking, forgetting, Heidegger.
