This volume comes out of the V Seminar on Studies on Brazilian Immigration in Europe (SIBE), which was hold from the 8th to the 10th November 2018 at ‘G. d’Annunzio’ University, in Pescara. The keywords chosen for the Seminar’s title were “memory”, “heritage”, and “transformation” – three words that, in our opinion and according to our research experience with the Brazilian immigration context, best represent the migratory path. Some chapters collected in the volume are revised versions of the papers presented at the Seminar. They focus on Brazil- ian immigration and other migratory flows linked to Brazil, which are analysed through theories drawn from various fields of thought, including linguistics, geography, statistics, teaching, the constitution of subjectivity, and linguistic policies. The volume also offers the results of field research conducted within a “Brazilian Community” in Pescara. Our intention, in examining the material collected through interviews with the members of that community, has been to contribute to understanding Portuguese as an Inheritance Language.

Abstract
Our intention, in examining the material collected through interviews with the members of that community, has been to contribute to understanding Portuguese as an Inheritance Language.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
