Abstract

The intercomprehension approach is based on the simultaneous learning of two or more languages. It focuses on the development of receptive skills while having a positive impact both on the enhancement of production skills and on the acquisition of language awareness. Drawing on the intercomprehension (IC) theoretical paradigm, this paper will present innovative digital resources for teaching English, German and Cimbrian, a minority language spoken in the province of Trento, Italy. The pupils will test the resources after having attended CLIL curricular activities. In this respect, the pilot study will also explore potential positive interactions between CLIL and IC activities.
