The overall objective of the project is to offer the Conference on the Future of Europe contributions aimed at promoting the integration of the gender dimension into the various forms and sources of contemporary communication. Within the framework of the EU Gender Equality Strategy, the idea is to investigate the principle of gender equality through a multidisciplinary and intersectional analysis of different normative, media, social, and philosophical languages, and to stimulate a reflection on the role that today’s communicative processes play in disseminating the value of gender equality, also in light of the democratic nature inherent in communication. The EU has recognized the need to equip itself with theoretical and practical tools with a twofold purpose: to remove all forms of disparity that hinder the achievement of equal opportunities and, through positive actions, to compensate for the disadvantages arising from direct and indirect discrimination; and to ensure fair development, using an intersectional approach capable of advancing the principle of gender equality in all areas of society and at every level, within the overarching systemic strategy of gender mainstreaming.

Abstract
The overall objective of the project is to offer the Conference on the Future of Europe contributions aimed at promoting the integration of the gender dimension into the various forms and sources of contemporary communication. Within the framework of the EU Gender Equality Strategy, the idea is to investigate the principle of gender equality through a multidisciplinary and intersectional analysis of different normative, media, social, and philosophical languages, and to stimulate a reflection on the role that today’s communicative processes play in disseminating the value of gender equality, also in light of the democratic nature inherent in communication. The EU has recognized the need to equip itself with theoretical and practical tools with a twofold purpose: to remove all forms of disparity that hinder the achievement of equal opportunities and, through positive actions, to compensate for the disadvantages arising from direct and indirect discrimination; and to ensure fair development, using an intersectional approach capable of advancing the principle of gender equality in all areas of society and at every level, within the overarching systemic strategy of gender mainstreaming.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
