One of the most challenging topics, which is addressed in various ways and has become known as an interdisciplinary field is the decision-making process. Therefore, identifying the influential factors on decision-making has formed a considerable part of decision-making research. AI is nowadays considered a ubiquitous technology that can affect the decision-making process at different levels, e.g. at a personal or professional level as well as an operative or strategic one. Although AI is becoming almost crucial in supporting decision-making conflicting results exist concerning the relationship between the decision-making process and AI. Therefore, this study aims to explore the debate concerning the impact of AI on the decision-making process performing a meta-synthesis of the literature. In this regard, 23 articles were deeply analyzed using the software MAXQDA. The results show that the relationship between AI and decision-making requires considering multiple factors.
