Urban infrastructure and space as resources for productive activities. Three examples from Cureghem, Bruxelles

The concept of local resources - encompassing a wide range of definitions and applications - plays an important role in the field of urban research, and has been one of the main threads running through Metrolab's work. It has proved to be a relevant and still topical tool for analyzing the territory. It is to this notion and its use as a tool for territorial analysis that this logbook is dedicated. The six chapters of this book explore in turn the different resources actually or potentially mobilized for the renovation and urban development of the Cureghem district in the Brussels-Capital Region (BCR), an area located in the Commune of Anderlecht, between the canal, the Gare du Midi and the Boulevard Poincaré. The analysis is applied to various case studies of this district, and compared with other areas. The publication explores the interest and limits of local resources as a concept and analysis tool.
