Colore e sostenibilità nell’ambiente costruito

The reports of the studies, presented by the group formed at the DiTAC of the Pescara Faculty of Architecture, are part of a bigger research aiming at defining tools for realising sustainable works for the landscape. In the field of Architecture, colours have a very important role for the landscape image, as de Quincy says, they have two origins, the use of decorations for buildings and the choice of materials. In this ambit we propose some reflections for sustainability. For "Well-being" requirements, colours can contribute to the performance amelioration through the choice of materials surfaces colouration and sun exposition. For a simple "Management" of building heritage, the choice of local materials contribute to the amelioration of the local economy and in an easier maintenance by employing local workers. For the "Environment safeguard", above all for the landscape conservation, colours come from the materials choice and become essential parameters for the equilibrium with the other requirements control; so “the conditions related to the maintenance and the amelioration of the states of the system in which the building is involved” are integrated. For the "Aspect" requirements, colours contribute to the definition of the "conditions related to the users perceptive fruition of the building system" for implementing the sustainability level of the territory considered through a materials local policy.
