Abstract
In sharing the purposes of the conference and in strengthening the convictions necessary to the support and the development of the use of the industrial products eco-oriented in the building sector, the proposed report suggests some remarks upon possible strategies that, from the observation of the sustainability level of a specific territory, consent precise and effective interventions, even for the quality of the image of the territory itself. In short, it outlines a methodology that, from the outcome of some researches related and stimulated by surveys concerning the sustainability of the territory, will come to the configuration of strategies for an innovative and ecologic industrial production, bases of a more sustainable building. The case study – referring to the seaside facilities – resulted emblematic of environmental situations at the risk for whom it is foreboded the reversing trend: - the actual hand-manufactured are made with pre-fabricated concrete of local production. The evaluation of the environmental impacts shows that the inert quarrying causes serious damages to the water strata and the cement production induces further damages to men’s health because of the emissions in the transformation processes. Furthermore, it is necessary to observe that the lowering of the gravel transport of the rivers to the sea is one of the main liable for the increasing of the erosive coasting phenomenon. - The presence of these hand-manufactured, heavy and fixed on the sandy shore for the whole year, constitutes a usable-managing model, in contrast to the traditional one, characterized by light systems and by a seasonal use. The new “model” has rendered urgent interventions on the coast line to protect the bathing buildings from the sea aggression with a remarkable outlay on the regional balance, at an environmental economic level, as well as on the landscape of the sandy shore. - The excessive use of concrete, which appears awkward without requests of specific structural performances, has favoured the loss of competences for the use of other materials and techniques able to provide the right facilities and alternative to more effective productions. It is a project for the coasting environment that, in proposing a new model of use (reversible process and a determinate time), evaluates the local environmental critical path and it outlines new territorial political action towards an integrated administration of the territory with the promotion of a eco-sustainable production.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
