The research has taken shape in a wider theme wich is today’s living with respect to a multiple demand, diversified and variable, characterized by dinamic needing contests in continuos evolution that requires space usability forms changeable in more and more reduced times. It has developed with regard to a new way of thinking about housing space: not static any more, predetermined on the basis of generalized functional standard referable to an improbable middle user, but evolutive, adaptable on needs changing each time, material and immaterial, of the “user-subject” who lives it. An house idea that overcomes typological schemes used untill now based on static spatial compartimentation systems essentially referable to the idea of “wall” that closes and divides, even when it has become light and descreet. And it recovers the ancient etymological origin of “habitus” that envelopes, protects and makes feeling well who suits it, that makes itself adaptable to the users ways of being in time and space with regard to contest’s factors. In this perspective the research focuses on physical elements that materially realize the habitus, meaning this one specifically like a “complex envelope” that gives shape, defines and makes habitable the using space with regard to the activity or the activities as a whole that take place in it. A composite envelope, made of layers of different substance and shape that composes and discomposes itself, adds up and subtracts itself, as a function of performance roles that each of these has to carry out each time, either interposes itself between internal spaces or between internal and external spaces. This envelope meaning notion takes to the overcoming of distinction between partition and closure and therefore to the conception of a multi-performing unified component able to take variable performing orders. An interactive component, easily movable and modifiable, that is made of different variable gradient sub-components, non-invasive connection systems that are able to make the housing spatial continuum “adaptable” to variation of performing requires without a trace on the envelope that remain invariable, including floor and ceiling. The study at the current state is settling the product concept in its constitutive elements, in its possibile materials, in its systems of assembly and adaptability, or of all that is necessary to a first prototypization. The proposal is fundamentally projected to space usability optimization not only qualitative (mass-customization), but also quantitative in a low-cost building policy perspective.

Abstract
The proposal is fundamentally projected to space usability optimization not only qualitative (mass-customization), but also quantitative in a low-cost building policy perspective.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
