This paper presents some considerations derived from an empirical analysis about the factors that may promote or prevent the adoption of closed-loop approaches in the specific context of product End-of-life (EOL) management in a motorcycle local supply network (LSN). This paper represents the progress of a preliminary study and also describes alternative options that could be implemented to design future scenarios. Italy has historically been one of the first countries in terms of LSN presence; moreover, it is the most important European country in terms of production and market share in the two-wheeled vehicles; in addition, the two-wheeler sector presents characteristics that makes it particularly interesting in order to analyze “closed-loop” approaches implementation. Outcomes may contribute to define the context in which producers must make their own choices and can promote the replicability of the approaches in other local supply networks.

Abstract
Outcomes may contribute to define the context in which producers must make their own choices and can promote the replicability of the approaches in other local supply networks.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
