We accept the definition of intercultural communication like “the communication that takes place when a message produced by a member of a certain culture may be received, interpreted and understood by another person belonging to a different culture” [Castiglioni, 2002: 9]. Therefore, it’s clear that the study of the intercultural communication is one of the main topic of intercultural research field. According to this perspective the distinction it’s helpful to highlight the difference between the concept of multiculture and interculture, as broadly discussed and accepted in the literature. This distinction allows to underline how different research fields, that investigated the ways to develop the intercultural society, have found that the dialogic interrelationship is a unique effective and successful strategy to build an existential dimensions suitable to contemporary problems.
