A class of (-LnM-C-m-)(x) hypothetical polymers, m = 2-4, conceptually derived from experimentally known analogous rigid-rod organometallic polymers and with different electron counts, obtained by varying the metal and the ligands in the MLn fragment, have been studied using extended-Huckel tight-binding calculations. The results suggest interesting conducting properties, depending on the electron count and the length of the bridging C-m chain.

Abstract
A class of (-LnM-C-m-)(x) hypothetical polymers, m = 2-4, conceptually derived from experimentally known analogous rigid-rod organometallic polymers and with different electron counts, obtained by varying the metal and the ligands in the MLn fragment, have been studied using extended-Huckel tight-binding calculations. The results suggest interesting conducting properties, depending on the electron count and the length of the bridging C-m chain.File in questo prodotto:
