Abstract
A recent hearthquake (2009) has offered the opportunity to reconstruct the historic evolution and transformation of Gizzi Castle, a medieval fortress becamed stately home between the 1600s and the 1700s. The crack pattern has made visible the type of the damage and at the same time the location and extent of changes over time suffered which have seriously compromised the lexicon of the original frame. This allowed us to turn the need to restore the safety into opportunities to the recovery of lost qualities and functional adaptation for new uses of our time.File in questo prodotto:
