In 1947 Josep Vicenç Foix published a collection of seventy sonnets, entitled "Sol, i de dol", that is a synthesis of medieval tradition (Catalan, Occitan, but also Italian) and avant-garde tendencies. In this article it is presented an Italian translation of six sonnets (1, 3, 5, 11, 19 e 40 of "Sol, i del dol"), in which it is recovered the archaic coloring of the texts (when there is) thanks to the use of Italian poetic vocabulary from the Middle Ages.
