The bibliological analysis of the Trattato della vera origine, e processo, e nome della nostra lingua by Celso Cittadini have been conducted beyond the modern techniques of tipephilology, in particular those relating to the compositions analysis. Also, the article highlights the presence of autograph margianal notations by Cittadini himself on the Bolognan exemplar of Trattato in the sample and the presence of cancellantia; these annotations allow to go back to the author’s will in the composition of the text.
