The objective of the paper is to present a method of analysis that allows to investigate the urban complexity through time, in a diachronic mode, to lock at the same time identifying moments. The investigation system is applied to the city of Pescara, case study, to be represented with figurative models able to tell its configuration and its distinctive features. It is an analysis of the status quo which can read diachronically what remains or re-emerges from the layers of time, capable of restoring graphically and synchronously the city realities of today.
