We report the study for the design and the patent of innovative closing and partition systems that should substitute for the traditional ones to improve the structural, energetic and use performance in housing redevelopment interventions. In step with the more recent Italian and European normative requests, we propose solutions to reduce the building energetic consumption, to improve their behaviour in respect to the seismic risk and to optimize the spaces use possibilities thanks to flexible systems. With the idea of a “contamination” between two existing technological fields (the non structural closures and partitions one, for reinforced concrete or steel frame buildings, and the cross lam timber bearing walls one) we propose X-lam structural closures and partitions, to be dry-stone assembled and disassembled, whose design and production represents the object of the academic spin off that we want to start up. The initiative aims to realize an efficacious contact among the University research facilities, the productive world and the local institutions so as to support the scientific activities, to promote the diffusion of new technologies and the productive sectors development, to have positive repercussions on the social well being and on the territory capacity of attractions for national and international investments. The spin off start up represents also the possibility of promoting the business development in the academic community and among the young graduates, endorsing the research and development activities of new products, processes and services realized in the University facilities.
