In yacht design, the issue concerning the mobility of people on board represents one of principal problems to deal both from the technical point of view than functional. To this is added another factor: the consideration of characteristics and specificity of users when they move away from the definition of “standard user”. On this side, the Design for All (DfA) Approach try to respond to the meaning of human diversity considering abilities and different psychophysical conditions of possible users as point of strength for the design of products and services usable by everyone. This paper presents the results of a design experimentation conducted through the DfA Approach on a 10 meters daysailer that suggests sustainable solutions in order to facilitate the mobility on board and the navigation.
