The paper reports the research for the knowledge, in order to enhance the ancient villages, some abandoned, in the Abruzzo region. Specifically, the analysis relates the area of the plateau of Navelli, near Aquila, crossed by paths and historic routes that crisscrossed the region defining important stages of paths, commercial and artistic, from which places of cultural and environmental value are generated. This heritage, today compromised by changing lifestyles, that spawned the depopulation of villages, has been investigated at multiple scales, from the landscape to the urban, to provide analytical information, based on the survey and its graphical representations, capable of documenting the state of affairs, the natural and architectural peculiarities that constitute it . The space in which they are located the villages of Navelli, the neighboring Jewish ghetto Civitaretenga, Collepietro and Acciano with fractions of Beffi and Rocca Preturo, perched in its high places, make up cultural networks, already witnessed by historical documents, which can be reconstituted, in a contemporary way, suggesting in territorial field new strategies for enhancement of the individual and sustainable centers.
