Abstract
This article follows the other one published on « Tipofilologia » last year about Pietro Bembo’s corrections for the second and the third edition of his Prose della volgar lingua (1538 and 1549). The cultural and commercial partnership of Bembo with the famous printer Aldus Manutius led him to the new scholarly challenge as a vernacular philologist, to find out a classical language for all the Italian states and finally to “invent” a modern way to print it, still in use in many languages and countries worldwide.File in questo prodotto:
