This essay underlines Don Bosco’s originality as an educator, with reference to the emotional dimensions of human experience as functional to a pedagogy which aims at enhancing the projectual potentialities of the individual as well as activating the processes of cura and cura sui. It is through this cura, that is “taking care” and “taking under care” that the educational method becomes the place of a formative, but above all existential experience centred upon relationship: the “I” recognises a “you” as inescapable part of the self, as an ethical “desire”, rather than the mere satisfaction of a need.

Abstract
This essay underlines Don Bosco’s originality as an educator, with reference to the emotional dimensions of human experience as functional to a pedagogy which aims at enhancing the projectual potentialities of the individual as well as activating the processes of cura and cura sui. It is through this cura, that is “taking care” and “taking under care” that the educational method becomes the place of a formative, but above all existential experience centred upon relationship: the “I” recognises a “you” as inescapable part of the self, as an ethical “desire”, rather than the mere satisfaction of a need.File in questo prodotto:
