Abstract
The quality and perspective in life of human being recently improved due to science innovations. The second half of 1900 was a milestone in nanotechnology representing the early stage for the development of nanomedicines. Nanomedicines provided recently a revolutionary turmoil in Academia of Science and developed the idea to combine for the first time different approaches, i.e. chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, proteomic and engineering. The potential combination of different backgrounds and knowledge found the main rational in the use of supramolecular systems to deliver therapeutic agents. Supramolecular systems can be designed as suitable nanotherapeutics to treat different diseases. Human pathologies are a big deal in nanomedicines and supramolecular systems can be used to improve drug therapeutic efficacy, bio-safety and to decrease side effects. The potential therapeutic application of supramolecular systems in nanomedicines provides several opportunities in terms of therapeutic efficacious and opens future perspective in nanomedicines. This proposal was focused on the impact of supramolecular systems in nanomedicine. In particular, a summary of therapeutic applications and future perspectives of different systems, formulated using inorganic and organic biomaterials, were presented. Experts in the field of supramolecular chemistry and nanomedicine were invited to contribute. The contributions were divided into two separate issues containing both research and review articles.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
