Intangible Cultural Heritage: Poetics of the Ephemeral in the Land of Abruzzo (Intangible Cultural Heritage: poetiche dell’effimero in terra di Abruzzo).

The representation of the Italian intangible cultural heritage, to prevent its loss, is the general topic of this contribution. This study is the latest result of a research on the poetics of the ephemeral in architecture, here interpreted with respect to some projects expressed by the culture of Abruzzo, with the aim of contributing to represent their historical identity. In this stage of the research – shared by some professors and researchers of the Department of Architecture of the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti Pescara – the several ephemeral creativities of the architectural-cultural landscape of the Abruzzo region have been summarized according to 5 representative macro-poetics: Festivals and rituals; Abandoned villages and memory; Fragments and ruins; Maps and drawings; Photography and film. These are “delicate” creativities, often events that need to be experienced in a live space-time setting, sometimes representations that have not been historicised yet, therefore they cannot always be handed down. “Forgettable” projects, then, that need further study and in-depth analysis in order to update the historicization processes in the international context of Intangible Cultural Heritage. / La rappresentazione del patrimonio culturale immateriale italiano, contro il rischio della sua dispersione, è il tema generale in cui si inserisce questo contributo. Lo studio che presentiamo è l’ultimo esito di una ricerca sulle poetiche dell’effimero in architettura, qui declinata rispetto ad alcune progettualità espresse dalla cultura abruzzese, con l’intento di contribuire a rappresentarne l’identità storica. In questa fase della ricerca – condivisa da alcuni docenti e ricercatori del Dipartimento di Architettura dell’Università degli Studi “G. d’Annunzio” di Chieti Pescara – le molteplici creatività effimere del paesaggio architettonico-culturale della regione Abruzzo sono state sintetizzate rispetto a 5 macro-poetiche di rappresentazione: Feste e rituali; Borghi abbandonati e memoria; Frammenti e rovine; Mappe e disegni; Fotografia e film. Si tratta di creatività “delicate”, spesso sono eventi da abitare in uno spazio-tempo “live”, talvolta sono rappresentazioni ancora non storicizzate, quindi non sempre “tramandabili”. Progettualità “dimenticabili”, quindi, che richiedono ulteriori studi e approfondimenti tematici per aggiornare i processi di storicizzazione nel contesto internazionale dell’Intangible Cultural Heritage.
