Abstract

The abstract, after a comparative analysis of Place Based and Lif Cycle Based approaches to Industrial Ecology deemed suitable for urban contexts, offers an integrated analytical framework in which the main flows and synergies among the residential, rural, and industrial dimension of urban contexts are depicted. It also shows an analysis of the critical issues and suggests trajectories for the development of Life Cycle Based tools for the measurement of potential eco-industrial scenarios.
