This study analyses the interactions of 17 four mouths children with their parents, by sequential analysis procedure, in order to examine the reciprocal regulation and to compare the interactive styles adopted by mothers and fathers and child¿s reactions. From the analysis concerning the co-presences and the responses with lag5 of the dyad members to each other, emerges that the mother privileges an interactive styles focused on objects¿ proposal, while the father prefers an interaction focused on social involvement of physical kind. The children responde with positive involvement with each parent, but using differently the objects in their presence. Also concerning the regulation of child¿s negative emotions the strategies adopted by mothers and fathers differ: the fathers¿ strategies are focused on physical attendances, the mothers¿ ones on verbal interactions.
