In recent years the idea of sustainable tourism, linked to the promotion of eco-friendly yachting activities, is spreading increasingly in the nautical field. Over time the awareness of environmental heritage’s safeguard and enhancement, related to the coasts and marine context, has raised. Tourism management can be done through the integration of service design and product design; this strategy could improve the habitat fruition. Some examples of sustainable mobility management services are: touristic transfer services to areas of interest, boat sharing, house boating, water sports, inshore and coastal navigation, boat camping, etc. The development of these recreational activities requires specific small crafts to improve a sustainable navigation. This paper reports concepts of small and sustainable crafts as good examples of design products that meet the above-listed services. These eco-friendly solutions, are both aimed to reduce the widespread problem of pollution, and can be also a starting point for the definition of new inshore and coastal sustainable tourism fruition models.
