The E.F.P. (Esthetic-Function-Posture) approach allows the successful management of patients affected by parafunctions and occlusal disorders, giving them back a pleasant smile, restoring their occlusion and improving their postural balance. In the first three modules of the present course, after having described all the diagnostic procedures and the clinical steps for a temporary stabilization of the mandible in its new balanced position, the final occlusal rehabilitation of anterior teeth (thanks to the adhesive cementation of additive palatal veneers on the maxilla and thanks to direct composite restorations on the lower arch) was carefully detailed. In the present fourth module, the clinical benefits of an adhesive and additive approach on posterior teeth (made possible by the vertical dimension increase) will be further underlined. For the clinical situations where an additive and adhesive approach is not practicable, alternative solutions, aimed at maintaining just one single restorative material (with ideal mechanical properties) on the occlusal surface of every restored tooth, will be given. © 2018 EDRA SpA. Abstract
