The field of application of the study concerns the interference between Photography and the disciplines of Representation in relation to the education to Image and Heritage. The research proposes some reflections on the “Strategic Plan for Photography Development in Italy 2018–2022”, drawn up by MiBACT an recently published. The Photography, in this contest, is regarded as an irreplaceable language, a widespread expressive medium, an agile exploration tool, a privileged digital environment for unreleased visual narration – especially in relation to the spread of social networks – as a matter of fact Photography offers new semantic spaces for both experiencing and educating to tangible and intangible heritage. The contribution will be developed according to two complementary areas: a theoretical-procedural and an applicative-methodological one. On the one end it consists in the analysis of the recent “Strategic Plan of Photography in Italy 2018–2022” of the MiBACT and its potential interactions with didactics and research in the academic field; on the other hand, it deals with the presentation of some case studies related to specific didactic and research experiments carried out within the Degree courses in Architecture and Design.
