Jorge Mario Bergoglio e il Concilio Vaticano II: fonte e metodo

The election of the successor of Benedict XVI had to mark a turn in comparison to the process of the receipt of the Second Vatican Council, since that has disappeared the generation of the participants. And indeed the election of pope Francis has represented an important turn for the implementation of the Council. Bergoglio has absorbed the Council during his life through events as the Conferences of Medellín and Puebla, that introduced the Vatican II in Latin America; he devoted a particular attention to the teachings of pope Paul VI and has developed a strong refusal toward an ideological approach to the Council. Since his election as pope he refused to take back the debate on the ermeneutics of Vatican II and he devoted himself to start processes in order to realize an effective synodality in the Church. Pope Francis doesn’t speak about the Council, but he speaks and he thinks the Council.
