The present work is based on the analysis and the review of more than 1800 scientific articles and public reports addressing the geology, stratigraphy and petroleum geology of the Mediterranean area. The available public material forms a huge database, subdivided into three main parts that contain different types of information useful for the construction of the synoptic chart of the Tethyan Megasequences.
