Scienza, scienziati e Utopia nel Terzo Reich. Una breve introduzione a un problema storico-sociologico

The paper carries out a reflection on the role and the importance of science and scientists, particularly in the fields of biology and medicine, held in the historical dynamics of the Nazi regime. Given the breadth of the topic, the study is intentionally introductory and provisional and will be divided into three parts. In the first of them it presents some important areas of research and their thesis, mainly of historiographical and sociological type, which constitute the necessary background analysis. In the second and third, it tries to outline an interpretative approach that takes advantage in addition to the historical and sociological data, on the one hand of a careful consideration of the tradition of Utopian thought and the theme of the ideal society, on the other of the concept of the body and the philosophical thinking of Emmanuel Levinas developed around the subject in question.
