In the last decade of the 19th century, the dialogue between Vilfredo Pareto, a Marginalist economist, and Benedetto Croce, a young Marxist theorist, seems to be a fundamental moment to understand the subsequent development of Pareto's sociology. In particular, Croce's new reading of historical materialism, understood as a method of investigation for the study of society, appears to be the central point of interest and evolution of Pareto’s thought from the theory of the “interdependence of factors” to the future idea of a “social science”.

Abstract
In the last decade of the 19th century, the dialogue between Vilfredo Pareto, a Marginalist economist, and Benedetto Croce, a young Marxist theorist, seems to be a fundamental moment to understand the subsequent development of Pareto's sociology. In particular, Croce's new reading of historical materialism, understood as a method of investigation for the study of society, appears to be the central point of interest and evolution of Pareto’s thought from the theory of the “interdependence of factors” to the future idea of a “social science”.File in questo prodotto:
