The lack of proficiency in academic language for the study of the specialist sector often constitutes an obstacle to student mobility. This is especially true in the field of Architecture and Construction (AC), where training covers a number of technical sub-fields which are often defined by professional practices, cultural traditions and legal frameworks which are specific to a given country. The Erasmus+ SEAH project (Sharing European Architectural Heritage: Innovative language teaching tools for academic and professional mobility in Architecture and Construction) aims at creating specialized corpora in the field of AC and open access corpus-based language learning materials in French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish, with a view to promoting wider student participation in mobility programs. This paper presents the theoretical framework, methodologies and aims of the SEAH project, focusing on the general criteria and procedures of corpus design, with examples of the compilation and use of the corpora for Spanish, Italian and Russian.
