Through several editions of Benedetto Croce’s Estetica, this article examines some passages of his work especially in the bond between “intuition” and “impressions” (or “perceptions”). In addition, the article takes into account some contents in Camillo Sbarbaro’s poetry as in Pianissimo (1914), wherein Sbarbaro reconsiders lyrical insights in the way of a dualistic ontology.
