Abstract
For a long time, urban planning was based on static urban instruments. On On the other hand, today's needs involve a reorganisation of space without the inflexibility of administrative processes. The dialectic between continuity and discontinuity of the city, urban space and morphology allow the ‘static project’ to evolve into flexible configurations, integrating the notion of time as ‘project material’. It triggers a recomposition process between economic, environmental and social components, without forgetting the dynamic urban balance. The challenge of urban planning is to devise strategies that respond to structural, functional and temporal issues while being ‘free’ from stringent constraints.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
