Like much of the Apulian historical heritage, the rich list of the rural architecture has been severely reduced by the heavy process of renewal and transformation that has affected the region over the last century. In fact, it has been a long time since the phenomenon of mass tourism, especially the summer one, began to affect the sites and places that remained on the margins of traffic and communication flows. Starting from the analysis of some case studies, this contribution aims to draw attention to the reality of a fragile architectural heritage. This heritage is increasingly subjected to operations of misunderstood modernization of the interior environments that have led to the replacement of traditional building techniques in favour of new products of the building industry, more responsive to tourist-accommodation needs. The goal is the search for regenerative actions capable of emancipating from cultural miseries related to consumerism, in favour of actions updated with respect to current policies on saving resources and respecting local specificities. The research takes advantage of the opportunity offered by the analysis and study of the rural architecture called Trappeto, largely abandoned for several decades and now subjected to reuse and refurbishment.

Abstract
The research takes advantage of the opportunity offered by the analysis and study of the rural architecture called Trappeto, largely abandoned for several decades and now subjected to reuse and refurbishment.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
