Abstract
The Climate change, the population growth and the contemporary complexity in management resources is leading to an uncontrollable race in search of a sustainability formula that is capable of responding to global emergencies. Visionary personalities are proposing a new model of city that is declared as sustainable but that in reality represents an irresponsible utopia: a dystopia to be avoided. All around the world are rapidly rising around 249 new cities while we should give some though to the existing city as a material to reinterpret. Despite the difficulties and disorientation typical of moments of crisis it is still possible to think of a future for the cities that is not linked to achieving the perfect formula of sustainability but that thanks to an ecological sensibility is capable to preserve the planet and to bring back the attention on its inhabitants.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
