Nautical and juridical lexicon in Ancona’s Statuti del mare (1397) · This essay focuses on specialized nautical and juridical lexicon from Ancona’s Statuti del mare (1397). Specifically, the text regulates maritime and commercial activities of the city, therefore, it is very rich in sectorial words, due to the economical and mercantile authority of the city in the peninsular, Adriatic and Mediterranean context. The terms are analyzed on the semantic and on the geolinguistic side, also suggesting original meanings and referring to TLIO’s and Corpus OVI’s database.
