"The Siren's Vaunt". Pindar, fr. 94b, 13-20 M. . The paper is focused on a debated passage of Pindar's Daphnephoric Ode to Agasicles (fr. 94b, 13-20 M.) that con- cerns the Sirens, whose song, imitated by the chorus, is able to calm down the stormy motion of the winds. Two interpretations of this passage are here provided: the first one aims at showing the genesis, the forms and the features of image of the Sirens; the second one aims at offering a new philological reading of the most lines (ll. 19-20).
