La letteratura russa tradotta nelle edizioni Carabba (1900–1925)

In the panorama of the Russian literature dissemination in Italy in the early 20th century, the publishing house founded by Rocco Carabba in 1878 in Lanciano ranked third on a national basis, with very careful and good quality translations. The publisher, in fact, demanded that translators work directly on the “original” text in order to offer philologically reliable versions to the Italian public. This contribution aims to shed light on the importance of Carabba’s publishing activity for the circulation of Russian works in the first quarter of the century.
