The paper proposes the results of some recent interventions on the church of San Giorgio Martire in Pereto. The reclamation and conservation works of the roofing and external surfaces of the building were promoted by the local community to encourage the conservation and enhancement of its cultural heritage. The population and associations of Pereto have always demonstrated a profound respect for the testimonies of the past and are attentive to the correct valorisation of the fabric of the historic centre. In fact, Pereto preserves the relationships between the urban layout and the construction characteristics of traditional local buildings as well as its consolidated image in the panorama of the Piana del Cavaliere.
