This study, which shows a part of the results obtained during the elaboration of my master thesis, deals with the problem of the restoration of Mario Ridolfi’s post office building for Piazza Bologna in Rome and aims to investigate the formal, typological, and constructive aspects of the building in order to assess its state of preservation as well as its ancient and modern history (both architectural and urban). An update for a framework whose knowledge still dated back to the 1990s.
