Abstract

This poster was produced while attending the PhD programme in Medical Biotechnologies at the University of "G. d'Annunzio" Chieti - Pescara, Cycle XXXIX, with the support of a scholarship co-financed by the Ministerial Decree no. 117 of 2nd March 2023, based on the NRRP - funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU - Mission 4 "Education and Research", Component 2 "From Research to Business", Investment 3.3, and by the company Aenova group Latina site. Biotechnological drugs are currently experiencing significant market growth, which requires substantial technological infrastructure for biological production and process control. This study, conducted at the Latina site of the Aenova Group, focuses on the challenges of introducing new products and how to optimise this step in the manufacturing field. The Aenova Group is a site that introduces several new products, including recent biotechnological products, and helps to overcome the challenges involved in transferring them. In particular, this study examines how to optimise a scale-down manufacturing activity in which the solution pH (a critical parameter in the manufacturing process) was unstable.
