Some laboratories for research in Italian and European universities are developing since many years reflections and insights on the contribution of the visual tool for research in architecture. That is what Gian Battista Cocco and Marco Tanca have done, especially with these the two movies: Lungo lo sguardo and Ospedale Marino, published by Gangemi Editore in 2010 and 2012. In the first of this two works, their approach has mainly focused on the use of three narrative acts that translate in a video an introduction to the context, the identification of a linear path - a longitudinal section of the environmental system Molentargius-Saline Cagliari, the recognition of its relationship with the built environment: all "paths of the eye along the route and the reconstruction of a unitary vision". With a more architectural orientation, has been realized the video project Ospedale Marino, in which you can find the same setting of the previous experience, however measured more directly with the architectural scale; in this case, a work of the Sardinian architect Ubaldo Badas (1904 - 1985). The movie's object is the architecture of the former "colonia marina", built in Cagliari - but left unfinished - in 1937, transformed in 1948 into a hospital, finally abandoned in 1982 and now in a state of profound deterioration. The new video shows an interpretive way to design the renewal of that significant architecture.

Abstract
The new video shows an interpretive way to design the renewal of that significant architecture.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
