This paper aims to elucidate the theoretical purposes behind a “Spinozism of the unconscious”. The analysis will focus on the deleuzean reception of Spinoza’s thought, firstly by discussing the characteristics of the Spinozism of the unconscious as understood by Deleuze and then taking into account strictly Spinoza’s perspective. Lastly, I will focus on the main differences behind Deleuze’s and Spinoza’s theories of the unconscious.
